Die a middle class 90 year old or a filthy rich world-famous 20-something year old?

Avicci just died at 28 as have many other stars in their 20s and early 30s. Can't help but think of the wasted humanity in their lives. All the money one could ask for but here we are, still working our tails off and still breathing and they're not.

Live live safely and wisely and appreciate each and every day.

From what the OT tells me, my 30s and 40s as a straight single white middle class male will be tremendous

Here's to hoping.

How long am I rich in my 20's? Like 1 year, or have been my whole life up till then?

I would have died 20 years ago if I choose the rich 20 something so I'll take the old man.

20 is too young.

guessing if 50 was the option, most would opt for that.

a better question/discussion would be early 40s i think.

There's only one thing in this world you absolutely can't get more of and that's time. Whoever would trade time for money isn't worth being alive anyway.

Def not 20s.

But I'd rather die happy at 60 than make it until 90 if my body or mind is failing me.

Can't wait until I retire an old man. Going to move to Key West, wear a gold watch and chain, tropical linen shirts, hit on the bartenders at the Margaritaville all day. It's a time I've looked forward to since I was in middle school.

Filthy rich and world famous does not equal happy. In fact, the opposite is usually true.

Silly thread idea. That's simply a question of who values money more than life.

Chalk me up to an old "middle class" sorta guy.

you should really alter the terms of this if you want an equal amnoutn of bites. "Middle class" is having a home, transportation, money to provide for your family, money to go on vacation, etc. It's not like living a middle class life is so wretchedly awful that you'd willingly choose to die 70 years early over.

All right
I got somethin' to say
Yeah, it's better to burn out
Yeah, than fade away
All right
Ow gonna start a fire
C'mon

Rise up gather round
Rock this place to the ground
Burn it up, let's go for broke
Watch the night go up in smoke

Rock on Rock on
Drive me crazier, no serenade
No fire brigade, just pyromania (c'mon)
