Orleans Parish made the list thanks to some the top tier schools bringing up the rear. That didn't help EBR though. Livingston, Ascension, and Zachary made it.

I'm still trying to figure out why districts are being compared and we somehow get negative points because of BR. Why not give us negatives because of East Feliciana but positives because of Central and WFP?
Central not being in the top 10 is a joke also. I guess they suffered the same fate.

Because Zachary has skipped by everyone by being the benefactor of having only one high school in the school district. Almost every other district in the state has many high schools of which there has to be one or two schools that drag down the higher performing schools (see Donaldsonville and Ascension Parish).

It would probably be safer to lump Central and Zachary together as they are very similar.

I guess that's working out good for Baker also.
Orleans has nothing in its school district but magnets now. Everything else is in the RSD. That's why the rank as high as they do every year.

None of this makes any sense given the criteria. It clearly states that they are only assessing districts with 7 or more schools in them. I'm pretty sure Central and West Feliciana has fewer schools than that.
