Yes but lived in a town of 1200 so no danger whatsoever as all folks were of one brand.

All the time. But only when we were old enough to be able to crank the windows down. It was never a big deal.

Dozens of times

A woman at blockbuster said she called the cops on her one time after we’d been in the car for 30 seconds

The cops never showed up obviously, my mom bitched her out like I’ve never seen

She did and she always handed my brother and I sharpened pencils and instructed us that if anyone besides her sat in this seat to stab them in the throat and run. That’s normal right??

How you get from a parent should bring their kids into the store with them to inserting microcips into their necks is beyond me.

I think he was mocking the fact that most people on the tracking thread claimed to have something like life360 for safety, which is 99% bs. No one stated how that made anything, anyone, or any situation safer, because they have been suckered into it. Not saying some people don't have some reasonable reasons, but safety is some false belief. Just like you're saying to bring your kid in the store because it's safer. Safer than what?

But now every karen call the cops when they see a kid in a car on a cool day.

This was 20+ years ago but purposely parked across from the Walmart employee smoke break area thinking that would be overtly safe with 3 kids in the car. Ran in for one item and got pulled out of the express line because the smokers called the cops on me.

I also think parents should not leave their young children alone in cars given all that we know about child abductions and trafficking.

Dude ain't nobody dealing with more kids on purpose. This is facebook land stuff.

I think I have more memories sitting in moms ugly brown car with just my siblings than I do with my mom driving

How long is too long in a car now a days?

I called the non-emergency sheriff line to report a kid alone in a car once.

It was night time and I noticed the kid when I walked in to the grocery store. Came out of the store and the kid was still there. I waited another 10 minutes. It had been at least 45 minutes since I first noticed the kid so I called.

No.
Mother drove, Granny was in the other front seat.
I learned how to fold down one of the two square seats in back of our 194something Packard. And I'd go in with them and I knew the name of the men who manned the produce isles and the meat counter. And our favorite check out man was Reddy (for his red hair.)

All the time.... and when visiting friends...

Let me tell you a true story; I'm about 8 yrs old at the time, sister two years younger.

Sister and I were left in the car, back seat, while mother dropped in to visit a friend.

Car begins to move forwards downhill, gathering speed towards an intersection.

I jumped into the drivers seat and began hitting every pedal I could.
Eventually found the brake and brought us to a stop.

Fun times!

I really can't remember her face when she found us down the street.

Obviously this didnt happen in the summer when it was hot. And it didnt happen when I was very young

Back then (60s-70s) people left elementary school aged kids in the car with the windows rolled down. People didn't lock their car doors either.

Yes, and I did not have a phone , ipad ,ipod or any other gizmo. I also knew if I got out of the car that punishment would follow.

None those life support items above had been invented.
