Did Your High School Drivers Ed Make You Watch "Red Asphalt"?

Yes, we did in the gym sophomore year of high school. They piled us all in there and played it. I think we actually watched it junior year also

My high school didn't have driver's Ed.
In Georgia you have to have like 39-60 hours of driving training with parents if you didn't do a driver's Ed program. If you did, you could do half as much. Did anyone's parents just make shite up to give the hours? I pride myself on being a great driver and the best/safest/calmest driver in my family and I doubt that would be the case if I continued getting trained by them.

No. I learned that you should be going the speed of traffic when merging, mirror blinker blind spot, instead of pedal mashing begin to accelerate using your big toe, two car lengths in moving traffic. Basically all the shite that people should do but don't. fricking idiots.

Didn't watch Red Asphalt, but I know that the faster you go, the better fuel mileage you get.

Lol... Maybe now all I had to do was take the instructor around the county jail and park the 1973 Ford Maverick a time or two.
We had drivers education it was a blast...

Yes!! It was gnarly as hell... Loved every second of it... Favorite part was when they were scraping brains off of the street and literally throwing the pieces into a trash bag... KOBE!!

I remember a guy that went through a construction zone and hit a piece of rebar that went through him for like 20 feet.

We had a MS highway patrolman do a presentation every year in high school and he showed us pics on a slide show while he narrated. One particularly gruesome photo showed a motorcycle rider who wiped out on the metal drawbridge part of the Biloxi Back Bay Bridge. The trooper called it the cheese grater photo. I doubt they still let them show stuff like that at school.
