I graduated high school early at 17 yrs and enlisted.
Even if you are 17 yrs old they make you sign up for selective service.

Yes, and also registered to vote the same day.

About a month later I was selected for jury duty, however I was still in H.S. and didn’t have to go.

Post Vietnam there were a few years when registration was suspended, essentially 1975 to 1977. Class of 76 was a pretty good time to graduate,
