Too young for the dead but I've seen Phish and WSP a few times. I'm looking to expand me experiences in May. Have tickets for an Andre Rieu concert in Liepzig. I'll also catch another Joe Bonamassa concert in 2 weeks. This will be my 5th time for JB.

Phish at The Fox Theater in Atlanta in 1995. Also my first mushroom trip. I was basically frightened.

I missed the Grateful Dead bus when I was a teen in the 70's. I was into music big time, just it was the Rollings Stones, Led Zep, The Who etc.
It was only at the start Covid at age 60 that I got on the jam band bus via the Grateful Dead playlists. I then started going to Dead & Co shows and have seen them 10 times since 2023. Glad I went to GC60 as that version with king Bob is now over.
Jam band also led me to Billy Strings who is the man at this time.
Note - For those that complain about Dead & Co not being Jerry/Dead . that's true but for someone like me that didn't have any concept of the Grateful Dead, I love the arrangements that DeadCo put on most of the songs. In other words, would you like Dead & Co if you didn't hear GD First? I did and appreciate all versions..

Nope, dirty hippie jam bands suck.

Sturgill/JBS and BMFS in their current iterations are as good of live music as anybody could possibly ask to see.

Check out Theo Lawrence and The Brudi Brothers. (That's two different acts, I know it kind of reads like one).

Seen Dead & Co with Mayer in MSG and again at another spot in NY.
Not all of their music is for me, but there are some songs / music that really grew on me.
I have a Grateful Dead sticker on my iPad and you’d be shocked at how much of a conversation starter it is with very senior people who are dead heads.

Phish ‘93-‘98 is my favorite era.
They also had some great shows 2017-19.
Dead ‘89 tour was peak but it really fell off between then and when Jerry died.
Dead & Co. was a straight up money grab, but I still saw them several times.

Got into the jam band music in 1995. First show was Merle Saunders @ rafters in crested butte Co. Was just graduating high school. We have a couple hippies a ride out of town after the show for a few cigarettes in trade.
First WP was Halloween 96 @ UNO. This band cost me to stretch college out 6 years unfortunately. Not sure I’m mad about it.
I lost count of panic shows, I assume about 125. Sold a shoe box or ticket stubs and every Moontime edition for a small fortune.

I saw the Dead at Shoreline in Mountain View in 1995 (I was 16) because a girl I liked was into it. Turned out to be their last show on the west coast. I was on a weird run of musicians dying right after I saw them. Jerry Garcia, Kurt Cobain, Bradley Nowell, Biggie Smalls, Shannon Hoon, Jeff Buckley. Got dragged to Aerosmith 3 times by my dad and those frickers are still going today.
It wasn't my thing, I'll just say that

I’ve seen WSP more than the Dead.
Prolly 40-50 dead shows. North of 100 for WSP.
Only seen Phish 3 times. I don’t mind Phish. But the scene and their fans are a little too wook for me.
I’m going to go to the John Mayer Billy Strings Micky Heart shows at Sphere in October.
