Did my 10 year because it was close enough post-Katrina was hoping to reconnect with some people.
Did my 25 and it was basically what a lot of people have described. Everyone fell back into their old cliques and started acting like asses. You had the handful that couldn't handle their alcohol.
And you had the repetitive "Hey, long time no see, what have you been up to.....we should get together more often" And haven't spoken to anyone after the reunion that I wasn't already hanging around with before.

Nope. They looked pretty lame on FB too.

Now their self esteem is so low, I can swoop in

Yes, and I enjoy them. A career in the military can send you in so many directions that you lose track of people. Catching up with them on Facebook is okay, but seeing them in person is better. Additionally, several of the guys who were jerks turned out to be good dudes.
YMMV

10 year reunion was with some bragging about success. 25 year reunion, those who attended were happy to see each other. We didn't have a 50 year reunion due all but a dozen didn't care. Of that dozen, 6 showed up for a Friday night dinner at a restaurant in town.

We had a 5 year which was honestly pointless. We had a great turnout but I had seen most of these ppl pretty often throughout college.
Missed our 10 year bc lsu Auburn 2019 was same day. No regrets but my buddies said it was a good time.
Our 15 year fell through the cracks, I don’t think there was a bunch of interest.
I hope we have a 20 year and I’ll go since I don’t live in the town where I attended high school. It’s nice to catch up with ppl you were friends with but went your separate ways post high school.

Nope. We just had our 35th last summer. There might have been 40 there, judging by the pics on social media.
Before social media exploded, our reunions were far more attended. I suspect most people keep up on Facebook. I will say that it looked like the cliques had all but disappeared. Looked like everyone was mingling amongst each other. I think at this point we’ve experienced a lot of what life can offer- good and bad and just want to hang out and have a good time

I went to my 10,20,30,and 40th. The same people. Had 12-13 the first decade out of a class of 30.
Less as the decades progressed. I think we had 5-6 for our 40th.
I doubt I make the 50th if I’m still alive.

Every single one. Loved high school. Went to small school with a close class. Actually don’t get to see my old friends often enough.

I was about to say.. I don’t think we’ve ever had one. But we probably did and I just didn’t know about it. I don’t have Facebook.

Went to my 20 a couple years ago and had an amazing time.
Instantly regretted missing my ten year reunion.

Nope! I still live relatively close. There wasn’t many that went to the 1st one. I have no clue about the others.

Every one 5,10, 20. Damn I'm old

You should go, it's only one weekend. Don't be a stick in the mud.
I have not attended any of my high school reunions, mostly due to work travel, and now I wish I had attended them all.
My wife and I graduated the same year and we had and still have plenty of friends but the last few years the list of the memorial page for the class of '83 gets longer.

Never. I’m still friends with several people from high school and see them when we want to get together

I avoided my high school reunion until 25 years. Not sure why. Just never felt the reason to go. I was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it was. Had great conversations with a lot of people. Many of those were with people that I didn’t really hang out with or talk much with, if at all, in high school. Went to my 30th and it was just as fun. Will continue to go every five years. Regret missing the others.

Social media kind of took the novelty away, since you pretty much know what everyone's up to.
Posted on 9/26/25 at 10:37 am to whitetiger1234
The older you get the better they get. At ten years there was still a lot of jealousy and revenge still around. At 30 people have matured and forgiven

No. I moved away and never returned to the place. And now that I'm getting senile, I'd never remember names or faces.
