I honestly don't think I ever want to know about my grandmother's sex life.

May be some truth to that. People did seem to get married much faster and younger.

"Fast girls" who didn't settle down were considered trashy or deviant.

Based on the stories my grandfather told me about his time in the military during World War II, I'm fairly certain I have close relatives in France and Germany now.

This old dude in the neighborhood told me that when they got into France, the French women were very appreciative and knew how to show it. Must have been 80-ish at the time, and had a giant ear to ear smile on his face as he remembered those times.

Correct . . . the first birth control pill was 1960 IIRC
