re: Elf on the shelf - HarryCallahan on 12/25/20 at 6:15 am Our elf suffered a tragic burn accident when my wife turned on the mini leg lamp while she was in there. re: Anyone have luck rehabbing a torn meniscus - HarryCallahan on 12/12/20 at 2:32 pm Had my right knee cleaned up by Dr Pope in BR after tearing mine. No therapy would help my situation. It would fold in resulting in pain and swelling. Took a few weeks to recover from surgery. Noticeable difference in knee function but pain no longer there. ... re: Wall Mount Tub Faucet on Exterior Wall - HarryCallahan on 12/12/20 at 4:34 am @HikingTiger- I see no problems with rear mount tub fillers. Exterior walls are insulated. Also, pex pipe will probably be used for piping install. We are in south La so deep freezes aren’t a real concern. The pex pipe will expand with a freeze and thaw out and return to normal size as opposed to co... Posted on Home & Garden Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Wall Mount Tub Faucet on Exterior Wall - HarryCallahan on 12/9/20 at 3:22 pm I install this set up often. Shut off valves installed in attic to isolate valve itself. The only issue, in my experience, has been the cartridge needing changed out in valve due to dripping from trash in ports of cartridge. ... re: Wasps from fireplace - HarryCallahan on 11/28/20 at 9:10 pm I was up there hanging Christmas lights and saw wasps flying around but no nest. I’m thinking the screen tie wrapped will do the trick. Wasps from fireplace - HarryCallahan on 11/28/20 at 6:53 pm ‘Tis the season for wasps coming down the fireplace seeking a warmer environment. Think I’m going to wrap the chimney cap with porch screen that I have in my storage shed. I don’t use the fireplace for anything other than the gas logs installed. No real wood burning. The damper is cracked to allow t... Posted on Home & Garden Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3) |

re: Mice help - HarryCallahan on 10/23/20 at 9:10 pm I fought this earlier this year. I tried bait traps, sticky traps, etc. They were in my attic and would scurry around at night. A few died in the attic and we had to deal with the smell. Eventually, I found the opening they were coming in. They were climbing a brick wall and entering in a gap that w... re: Wooden pergola instead of an aluminum patio cover - HarryCallahan on 10/2/20 at 5:10 am The only drawback to the pergola is the maintenance of the wood. Not sure what kind of wood you will be using. Redwood, cedar, a tropical hardwood, PTP? It would be beneficial to use a tropical hardwood due to the extreme exposure the pergola will have with the elements. But then-you run into high w...
