From the original cool to eventually some floppy melted looking thing with pipes and brackets only a few inches from the road. I hardly ever see any of the new ones on the road.

I forgot how much the Pathfinder used to look like a Rodeo.

Wife has the Infiniti version. Certainly not your typical SUV. More of a crossover. It's comfortable for a family, but I'd not buy it for myself.

Reality is the pathfinder as an actual SUV just didn't compete against something like a 4-Runner, so why try. Jump in and win the new market of mom vehicles for moms who don't want mini-vans.

You’re not paying close enough attention.

The newer models look pretty good TBH.

And this isn't some new thing either. My Mom had a 2001, looked just like this:

While it was still somewhat boxy on the outside, inside it was trying hard to be a luxury vehicle. I was a junior in college when she got it, so a little past the soccer mom stage of life, but it was definitely made for women almost 2 decades ago.

The people want station wagons with a lift kit, so they don't have to call it a station wagon. Nissan just answering demand.

I was in love with those SUV's in the early 00's. I hope the reboot is worth it.

The problem is that everything is geared towards women these days. The manufactures are making everything look all rounded and gay to appease the women.

Yes - but every manufacturer ruined their SUV lineup. They are all just mini vans minus the sliding door.

I have hope for the new Bronco that Ford is releasing in 2020 but I have this nagging feeling they will frick it up too. Fans have made the design easy for Ford if they will just listen. Here are some examples...
