I had a fleeting moment where I thought I could make my wife and kids rich. It immediately occurred to me my kids would grow up to be Instagram pieces of shite with money in the place of their father.
Short answer: No

Nope, have a kid. Would rather try to make it as a regular dude and see her grow up than check out when she’s barely old enough to remember me.

The devil never told you that you would enjoy a long life if you didn't take it. 500 mil and a guarantee to live 5 years... Or turn it down and possibly be hit by a bus the next day.. something to think about...
Odds still say don't take it though

There’s no amount of money that makes me accept a 5 year life expectancy.
Posted on 1/30/21 at 2:20 am to PeteRose
Depends on my age obviously

Talk to me when this pandemic ends

Yeah this is insane. There is no amount of money worth that

If I had his money
I could do things my way
But little they know
That it's so hard to find
One rich man in ten
With a satisfied mind
Once I was waitin'
In fortune and fame
Everything that I dreamed for
To get a start in life's game
Then suddenly it happened
I lost every dime
But I'm richer by far
With a satisfied mind
Money can't buy back
Your youth when you're old
Or a friend when you're lonely
Or a love that's grown cold
The wealthiest person
Is a pauper at times
Compared to the man
With a satisfied mind
When my life has ended
And my time has run out
My friends and my loved ones
I'll leave there's no doubt
But one thing's for certain
When it comes my time
I'll leave this old world
With a satisfied mind
How many times have
You heard someone say
If I had his money
I could do things my way
But little they know
That it's so hard to find
One rich man in ten
With a satisfied mind

Your current health stays the same for 5 years. And then you go to sleep.

Well, we have some takers so far. It’s essentially selling your time for money. So if you think you have 40 years left to live, are you willing to sell 35 years of your time for 500 mil?
When people give away 40 hours of their time each work week, they are exchanging their time for money.
Some people say “if I were 80 I would take the deal”. Well, no shite. At 80, you’ve spent all your time already so you’re not giving anything up. Heck, you might’ve die at 82 so if you take the deal you get 3 extra years and 500 mil. Who wouldn’t do that?

Life is more precious than any amount of money IMO

If yes, what is your plan?
I put the $500 million in some low-risk securities and bonds to earn interest. At the end of the 5 years I give the Devil back his $500 million and tell him I changed my mind.
I keep the interest.

If I win 500 million I probably wouldn’t live 5 years anyways so sure

shite, I would. Sign me up tomorrow. I’m 45 with no kids. As long as I knew I wouldn’t be sick and would just kill over one day, I’d sign the paperwork tomorrow. Seriously, cocaine, women, and traveling to see things like Hawaiian volcanoes, WWII sites, shite like that.
Leave what’s left to my nieces and nephews.
