F&DB standard response is asking if you brought it up with the manager before taking it to social media, Washington seems to have done that.
Sorry for Desi, but Washington has every right to bring this up publicly. The manager was in on it and there was no guarantee it would ever make it to Desi unless it was handled this way.

Couple of dumbass employees. I'm wondering if the couple was so bad that they thought they would be stiffed or if it is something they do pretty regularly. Stupid move either way which is easily provable by the receipt. Not worth it for them in the end even if the couple were a pain in the arse (though they might not have been at all).

Desi is a stand up guy. I've known him for years. He's a top restaurateur in New Orleans. I'm sure he took care of the couple and the bill.
