The dindunuffin is strong in this one. Do you really think that Chauvin had intent because he is a systemic racist or that the arrestee created this volitile situation? The officer never violated departmental policy but the chief changed the policy post incident.

Chauvin in no way, shape, or form stopped that man from breathing nor did he shove drugs down his throat or up his arse

EMS was called, they went to the wrong place.

The only reality is that he died he didn't take 11mg of fentanyl.

So let’s get this straight, protocol is to remain in this position until EMS arrives? Nothing in protocol about what to do if EMS is delayed, like they were in this situation?

autopsy said he didn't die of an overdose. he died from cardiopulmonary arrest due to the stress of the force used by Chauvin.

Maybe Chauvin should've never signed up to a police officer if he couldnt restrain Floyd without using force that would cause his drug-riddled system to fail, but when you accept a job you accept the responsibilities that come with it.

If Floyd would've died at any other point, Chauvin would have zero responsibility. The fact he died under Chauvin's knee is the only thing that makes Chauvin accountable.

But it doesn’t mean law enforcement should get away with contributing to someone’s death, especially if the force used was excessive,

You think a cop should go to prison for 20 years for restraining a violent drugged criminal for restraining him by the book he was trained on while waiting for EMS to show up?

yes, a police officer is not a judge. someone being arrested has not yet been convicted. do you really believe that we should let cops act any way they wish before a detained suspect has been convicted?

George Floyd deserves the same treatment as you or I until he had his day in court.

Chauvin's responsibility was to apprehend him and get him to that court date.

2 things can be true at once: Floyd was drugged out of his mind. Chauvin also pretty clearly choked him out. That knee to the throat was no doubt excessive.

Your post is a prime example of the effectiveness of leftist narratives and propaganda on those with a feeble mind.

Fun Bunch I'm gonna need to see your credentials before I trust you that 11mg of fentanyl wouldve been lethal for floyd without Chauvin's presence
quote:

He said the amount of fentanyl found in Floyd’s system could be lethal for a first-time user or a young child or a smaller adult, but likely not for Floyd, who was 46 years old, stood more than six feet tall, weighed more than 200 pounds and struggled with opioid addiction. Nelson also dismissed the amount of meth in Floyd’s system as “trivial.”

“If somebody was a chronic user and their blood level was 11, we wouldn’t be particularly concerned,” Nelson said of the amount of fentanyl in Floyd. “In fact, sometimes people could be in withdrawal with levels of 11. It’s tricky. You have to put it in context.”

Leo Beletsky, an opioid expert at Northeastern University in Boston who was also not involved in the trial, agreed, noting that Floyd didn’t exhibit the typical signs of opioid overdose.

“They fall into a sleep-like state,” he said of overdose victims. “They have shallow breathing. They stop talking. Their face turns ashen or their fingertips turn blue and their lips turn pale. The physical responses that he was having were much more consistent with trauma than an overdose.”

I also need to see where in our constitution it says police are granted immunity for suspects that die in their care

Can you say for certain that his knee didn't contribute in any way to his death? Even if it were only 25% contribution?

I never said it was.

Only that: he had 11ng of fentanyl in his blood stream among many other drugs

and

the autopsy concluded that he did not die from being choked.

Several ADAs refused to proceed in the case.

It wasn’t excessive

All of this was proven in court (but then thrown out by the judge - you can find your own reasons as to why he threw them out)

Bro, you’re just running with a corrupt media’s talking points without knowing jack shite about what actually happened

No he didn't

I'm sure the rest of your take is 100% accurate though, seeing as how you got this completely wrong even though it's printed on the page you linked.
