I didn't say it won the case for the prosecution, but from what I've seen so far it's been the first thing that really strengthens the case. They have yet to come close to their burden, but that clip/testimony was miles more persuasive than MMA guy cursing at the cops or confrontational firefighter lady.
The old man going from scolding GF to telling the cops they are going too far is going to play well for the prosecution with the jury. It adds credence to the "eminently dangerous" and "depraved mind" elements.

You might want to wait for the official medical report. Unless you already know it? I don't, but it's certainly possible that the drugs in his system could have caused him to have a such an event.
Did he have methamphetamine and fentanyl in his system? I don't even know. Did he have any other conditions?

Ask John Belushi if speedballs kill. Meth escalates your blood pressure and speeds up your heart beat. Fentanyl slows your breathing down and can slow the heartbeat down. Its like a rollercoaster effect. Heart beats like crazy then drops down, same with breathing. Now if the heart is beating hard , pumping blood faster and faster what happens when there is major blockage. Now add in covid and sickle cell ( which impedes oxygen in the blood). Honestly its surprising he didnt drop dead before they put him on the ground in fact its my belief he was in the stages of overdosing when they first tried putting him in the car.
