This young man and the dispatch woman are both by far the best witnesses. Both very professional and respectful and clear in their responses.

I have to say this witness does come across as very likeable and attempting to be honest.

His demeanor has changed during the cross though. I get it, the defense is trying to either poke holes in your story or get you to prove the defense so you can take it personally but it's normal procedure. No reason to take offense at it.

I just hope the jury has more intelligence than the rook firefighter.

Would the prosecution be allowed to coach them to speak as little as possible?

I think that’s the point. Don’t answer anything that isn’t asked. But they are sworn to tell the “whole truth”.

Has every witness forgotten what they told police in their original statement?

He's got to be approaching the record for repeated use of word that the five and six MMA fighter had in that video for saying "bro".

was following on here yesterday getting the impression that Nelson was shredding the prosecution witnesses, turned it on for a bit as I was getting ready for work, didn't see that at all, the EMT was holding her own against him for the brief time I watched, and she doesn't come across as a mensa member

Unfortunately, most people do not understand this and cannot deal with it.

I remember being deposed as the corporate representative for my company. The attorney was coming at me hard, trying to get me to misstep (I did a few times), and catch me in a lie. Unfortunately for him, the truth was on our side and I knew how to answer questions to get him to dig a little deeper to realize his client was a major POS and didn't give him all of the info.

Company attorney was very apologetic, had to reassure her that I know that it's his job to try to get under my skin. And, he was very good at his job, lost my cool twice, but never went overboard. Thankfully it wasn't a video deposition, because my face doesn't hold back

I do this for my company as well. Get deposed serval times a year and court trial testimony 1-2 times a year.
