He sent his employee to go out and confront a guy who just used counterfeit money? Holy liability. Home Depot and major stores don't do that for a reason. They know that if something happens to an employee doing something like that it will be far worse than the theft.

Dude. We are talking about a hood rat tobacco, cell phone, meat and liquor store in the hood. They can't spell liability and don't give a shite.

Blood flow to brain? Choking a person with oxygen deprivation takes longer than stopping arterial bloodflow to the brain.

They're saying this helps the prosecution because GF was still coherent. I don't think the defense doubts that while he was in the store... It was the BAG of drugs he swallowed when he got out the car that fricked him up so bad... right?

Is that what the autopsy showed?

Because, and this is directly from the ME's report:
quote:

Sections of hippocampus, cerebellum, cerebral cortex, and midbrain show the expected microscopic architecture, without hypoxicischemic, reactive, neoplastic, or inflammatory changes.
The brain showed no evidence of hypoxia.

So...not a blood choke.

He made his points with her. Why let her use the coaching the prosecution gave her last night to rehabilitate herself? Get her out of there.

I bet the defense has a more decorated/qualified fireperson that is going to refute everything she said.

Absolutely. He knew Floyd was high and was a muscular giant so he didn't want to risk a confrontation at the time so he was willing to risk losing at least half of his day's pay by having to take that $20 out of his paycheck.

I think this is how this trial will end. Blame will be put on the PD, it will absolve Chauvin at the same time.

Appreciate the input. I'm sure many PD's across the country share similar restraint techniques as well.

How long does the brain have to be hypoxic before you see microscopic evidence and how does this lack of hypoxia support an opioid overdose?

I’ll wait.

That's actually not the reason at all. They are fearful of getting sued which is why they essentially let them walk out the door.

Friend of mine was the GM over an Old Navy store and she was told to tell her staff: when you know they are stealing, instead of confronting them about the theft, ask them if they need any help. Only when they walk out the door with the goods in the bags is in considered theft, not before.

And no one is to be confronted outside the store for optics purposes.

It's ludicrous I agree.
