What must the other cops be thinking who await their trial? My god the fear.

I’m sure they were already terrified if they’ve been paying attention. Bigger question is how prospective jurors for those trials react to what’s going down today.

You think some appellate judge is going to put his/her family's life in the hands of the mob running the country?

If they aren’t willing to carry out their duty they shouldn’t hold the position. This is what they signed up for.

I’ll cheer on ‘murderers’ on the correct side of the law who are trying to get the scum off the streets.

Learn to READ/COMPREHEND THE WRITTEN WORD, moron ! I clearly stated that Chauvin vastly overstepped arrest protocols and thus a manslaughter charge/verdict would be appropriate !
There are over aggressive police officers EVERYWHERE and I sincerely hope they all can learn from this !
IF you do not see/understand my point that this is a 'slippery-slope' scenario and that criminals everywhere will be emboldened by this outcome...you are more than just a simple moron...you are prob. mentally ill !

Anything is possible, but appellate courts are highly reluctant at turning over jury verdicts. It'll be a mountain of a climb for the defense team to get that to happen.

They won’t be turning over the full verdict. Only the erroneous murder conviction that wasn’t proven during the trial.

that cop should clearly be convicted with manslaughter or something similar.

Something like Thugslaughter and then be set free to keep the streets clean.

We now have become a mob rule nation.

Murder was reasonable as he knowingly used a dangerous restraint on someone with respiratory distress and disregarded his colleagues concerns. All on footage.

Many cops may be overly aggressive but it's egregious when even his partners tried to deescalate DC. Why are you still white knighting for a convicted murderer

Because this is frontier justice and not actual justice.

Jurors should be free of any fear of reprisal.

No, but a legitimate trial would have resulted in a manslaughter conviction at worst. They overreached knowing the verdict was already determined with full pressure being applied from the top.

Hopefully they realize that cops are finally being held accountable for murdering unarmed black people, and that justice will finally be served.

There hasn’t been equal justice under the law in this nation in decades. Otherwise, there would be politicians rotting in prison at the moment.

Let me guess - no facts behind this? Unarmed people are killed by cops all the time, this isn't specific to black people.

I know you’re pretty ignorant and all. But are you seriously so stupid you don’t know why it’s a bad idea for a major political official to be discussing a ongoing criminal trial? Come on, you can’t be that stupid.

You realize Trump did this during the trials of all his close friends correct?

It was wrong then and it’s wrong now. Can you admit as much?

NOT 'white-knighting' at all...just in mourning for the future of our justice system...where mob rule/social media/race-baiters etc. can pre-determine judicial outcomes...
IF/WHEN all these 'forces' come together to acknowledge/face/confront the dire straits the minority community has devolved to...THEN, we may finally see some 'progress' in our great nation ! Can we agree on those FACTS ?

The melt is going to be massive when the murder conviction is overturned on appeal and the manslaughter conviction doesn’t carry the sentence length they want.

There wont be a ruling for at least over a decade. Innocent people spend decades in prison all the time.
