If you watched this trial and are comfortable with what the prosecution presented to be considered to meet the burden of proof, well that's just horrifying.

We will now have posters who already had their mind made up that Chauvin was innocent before the trial, now say that the system is rigged/bias and that’s the only way a jury could’ve reached that outcome.

What part of "innocent until proven guilty" do you not understand. It is the default starting point for a reason.

murder 3 -

"eminently dangerous" and carried out with a reckless disregard for and conscious indifference to the loss of life.

this was easy conviction. the restraint he used is known to be dangerous especially if someone's already struggling to breath, and he continued using it for minutes after he knew GF wasn't breathing and pulseless. he had reckless disregard for GF's life, as he ignored his colleagues requests and refused to de-escalate the force.

Anyone but the 12 jurors, of course.

They clearly didn't review the evidence. They didn't ask a single question about it.

So when does the appeals process begin?

Assuming this is nowhere near the end of the story

It doesn't matter. There is not an appellate judge on the planet who is going to put a target on their family's back to overturn this conviction, no matter the circumstances.

the same trial in midland texas would be one count of manslaughter or innocent of all charges.

Same venue, except DC is black, and he's acquitted on every charge.

Derek Chauvin is a piece of shite. I have no sympathy for him. My fear is the innocent until proven guilty no longer applying and proper justice not being served. Those charges weren't proven from the evidence they provided. This was a mob mentality verdict. Last thing I need is 12 dipshits deciding my fate based of the views of the general public and politicians.

This is an interesting point in the overall narrative. But it's also somewhat circular.

On one hand, knee-jerk defense of police when you're more likely to be victimized by police than find yourself in the position of a victimized officer - ok, true.

But government entities and power aligned against Chauvin here. The President of the United States and multiple elected officials at the highest levels weighed to appease woke mobs. So that sort of undermines the typical bootlicker narrative here, when mob rule has the force of government behind it.

This is going to extend to the citizenry. Rittenhouse, the couple in St Louis, etc. People will go "well those people asked for it" and it'll continue until its eventually some guy who shoots a thug stealing his car with a baby inside or whatever.

I still don't agree with 2nd degree murder charge, as I feel the amount of drugs in his system was enough reasonable doubt.

But if anything else this trial set a precedent that kneeling on a man's neck/shoulder blade area for 9 minutes, even after suspect goes unconscious, is not good police work. I do agree with that precedent.

Pure nonsense. This wasn't an abuse of power by any stretch of the imagination.
