Let’s call a spade a spade, the first couple of witnesses that the prosecution called were kind of a joke, as the first couple of witnesses that the defense calls up will be. But the prosecution handled the first witnesses way better than the defense has to this point. The defense got eviscerated today

ny highlights from the testimony
It really wasn’t what he said, but more his physical demeanor. In the end, he said dc acted in a reasonable manner.

nah im not upset that he lost credibility and exposed his by admitting he cant tell the difference in resisting and struggling to breath, but insists it was resistance.

Surprised they let prosecution lie about bruises on knock and shoulder

I caught that.. He was talking about the front of the shoulder which the defense didn't clear up for the record.

Was that a lie?

I missed everything today, can somebody catch me up on what happened? Is the prosecutions side over and now we are on the defensive side?

What you fail to realize “not being able to tell” ain’t gonna meet the burden of “beyond a reasonable doubt”
People like you are looking for witnesses to tell them their view is plausible rather than their view is correct beyond reasonable doubt.

yup.
defense talked about a past arrest/OD.
defense called a use of force expert who cant tell the difference in struggling to breath vs resisting police but insists it was resistance.

Did anyone just catch the exchange on court tv?

The defenses use of force expert has much more experience than either of the prosecutions, which happened to contradict one another...he has also been used by Minneapolis as an expert witness by the prosecution in a use of force case prior to this case

Defense is up to bat. Defense presented a witness that testified that Floyd was still resisting even after handcuffed. Both prosecution team and Nelson had their moments.

you mixed up sides here. the defense expert couldn't tell the difference. the defense presented that the resistance justified the force, although self contradictory as they cannot tell the difference between resisting and struggling to breath. In general police have to be able to justify their use of force, otherwise it is unlawful use of force.
the prosecution laid evidence that he was struggling to breath and the defense cant tell the difference between the two.

Did I hear correctly? 50,272 disclosures?? Or 41 disclosures with 50k date stamps?

I’m not mixing up anything.
Fact of the matter is, as of the prosecution resting, the verdict is “not guilty”. The prosecution did not prove the case with their own witnesses.
Nelson could take a knee right now and win.
Pun intended.
