You are conflating two things.
The government does not have a right to treat me any differently than any other American.
Better stated, the government is ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED from discriminating against anyone based on their inherent characteristics. If a government entity, which the public school system is, does same, it is the responsibility of the government to protect those rights.
Whether people choose to congregate with others that share similar features or characteristics is not a part of the equation.

Set up a sandwich shop that's Whites-Only and get back to me... or a bowling alley... or a clothing store... or a movie theater.
If integration were of government run institutions only we'd likely not be having this side debate.

But again, you conflate two issues. That is an example of a supplemental event put on by a racial lobby. I think it's dumb. I think we put too much stock in racial identity in America.
Is it any different than a Christian event or a Muslim protest?
Are Jews barred from attending a football game in the south whenever a Christian prayer is said before the game? I say no. It certainly doesn't cater to their beliefs. But they are welcome to attend. Though I doubt any announcer is going to be handing over the mic to allow for a traditional Jewish prayer anytime soon.
Barring someone from attending a public school based on their race is an inherent bad policy. It is evil. There really isn't much wiggle room in that.
Holding a black graduation is just dumb and counter-productive to racial harmony.

You believe in freedom of association, no?
I've already shown where government funded schools treat students differently based on race... what else you got?

There are certainly businesses that cater to one race or that put out front and center that they would rather not sell to other races. Those businesses are free to stay small or fail, and the ones that enforce those beliefs with actual results are free lose in court to discrimination lawsuits.

On government property. A whites only graduation would never be permitted. I understand and appreciate that you find other "affinity" events distasteful, but the fact is they ARE allowed.

As a mandate, I tend to agree... as an option for all groups, I think it would be a fine idea. I am no more a proponent of forced segregation than I am forced integration. I believe in freedom of association.

Race-based diversity hiring and race-based diversity admissions at private colleges has been a thing for decades, it was turbo boosted after 2020, and anyone who pretends not to know that isn't worth talking to at all.
