This is so scary having a daughter who goes to LSU and tigerland. I hate it. I can’t wait till she graduates and gets out this trashy state.
Yeah, this entire incident is nightmare fuel to parents everywhere.
1. Raise daughter in a safe southern town (Mandeville/Covington).
2. Pay for her to go to private school to get the best education (SSA).
3. Send her to LSU and she joined a sorority.
4. She goes out to the bars with everyone else and meets some assholes who take advantage of her in the back of a truck.
5. She is dropped off at 3AM without any friend and wanders into the roadway where she is struck by a vehicle and killed.

Yikes. I hope you don’t have a daughter that gets raped.

You play with fire, you’ll get burned. You play with certain people, it won’t end well

"Investigators say Carver admitted that he and the three other males went to Reggie’s Bar near the LSU campus and consumed alcohol"
If this is true then I would expect Reggie's Bar to lose their liquor license and be liable for civil damages by the family as well.

Since when can you strike someone in middle of street and not be responsible in some manner

Wow. Just saw this. It is horrible my daughter has a connection to this girl.
This could happen at any apartment or house after going to the bars in college. The fact that it involved multiple people though means nobody had the courage to speak up and make sure it did not happen. The level of intoxication is high enough where there should not be a question. Yes the accused could have been just as bad off that is when people at the bar or her friends step in. Was she alone at Reggie’s without any buddies?

Also where the frick were her friends? They didn’t notice their friend was wasted?
Exactly where Im at with this story. Surely she didn't go to Reggies solo.
Also, how was the case cracked? Did the white kid feel guilt and come forward?

Where were her friends? I find it funny that this young lady was in a Sorority and no one has spoken up yet. Did she go there alone? Were any of her friends there? Some friends....

If she is in the roadway in a dark area and the driver was not speeding or impaired, he has no criminal liability. Chances are he was speeding because everyone hauls arse on that stretch, but that would be really hard to prove.

My kid is in a sorority at LSU and she usually has about 4 friends with her and it’s her regular crew. They always watch out and stay with each other. Now I’m gonna preach this even more to stay together always.

I’m sure her friends rightfully feel like shite. All the girls I hung out with in college and after always ran in packs and always went out with our group of guys. If one of them was going home with someone we all knew who and if they were in decent enough shape to do it.

The sober Uber driver, who was driving his vehicle on the road, should not be held responsible in any manner. I feel pretty bad for him actually.

It's pitch black around Burbank in some areas. Completely understandable how you wouldn't see someone in the middle of the road until it was too late unfortunately

All of these questions have to be answered. Is there going to be a press conference? What about the driver of the car? There is fault there also.

How can you say this w no fault proved? Was he texting, looking at phone? Something that distracted his attention at worst moment possible?

I believe the poster is simply stating that try to teach your children to not desire to go to bars and be very cautious of what guys will try to do. Make good decisions before obe becomes extremely vulnerable.
Nothing more than that.
Sad all the way around for her and her family

Holy Mother of God. I want to throw up. If her parents , family and friends ever read this I want them to know we are all with you. I can’t even process this kind of evil. I have a daughter her age at LSU. It brings tears to my eyes to imagine their pain. God bless them.
