Thanks. I was thinking of her pounding drinks leaving the bar. If surface area for adsorption came into play it would have exponentially increased after the accident. The only hole here would be the timing between her departure from Fred's and then the impact. That was around an hour. She never made it to the two hour mark.
ETA I know Fred's said they cut her off at T minus 1 hour, but the random drink thing came up in one of the videos. Not sure how that affects the timing.

Dude. Thank you for all the detailed information and your expertise in this matter.
Please take a step back. Don’t let it get you like that.

Seems like a really good way to put a guy on blast each time a drunk girl throws a fit, and it goes into the community text feed
Nothing to do with the op, but that seems like a good way to target young men and ruin their reputations

ETA looks like she said he’s a suspect in another case. My mistake

It wasn't that Fred's 'cut her off' as she'd even swiped random drinks. Was on the video she was not seen drinking any alcohol for one hour before she left.
Was there any alcohol in the car? Wasn't mentioned in the affidavit either way.
If they gave her alcohol in the car, could be an issue dropping her off creating extreme danger.
If they didn't give her alcohol, the earlier expert says add .015 to .032 (I think that's what he said) to her BAC at time of rape an hour earlier.

A couple of days ago I went back and looked at that quote again because I was curious. Reggie’s says they didn’t serve her AND that she didn’t drink in last hour before leaving

Madison Brooks Foundation launched to honor LSU student
BATON ROUGE, La. — The family of Madison Brooks has launched a foundation in the former LSU student’s honor.
Brooks, 19, died after being hit by a vehicle on Burbank Drive on January 15. Brooks was taken to the hospital where she was placed on a ventilator. Her family made the difficult decision to pull her off life support and donated her organs.
“In her last act of kindness, Madi donated her heart and kidneys to save the lives of others,” a message on the Madison Brooks Foundation says of the teen. “Her heart was pure, her laugh infectious and her life was one that will forever shine in the stars above.”
The goal of the Madison Brooks Foundation, according to the foundation’s website, is to provide financial help to those in need, to advocate for the safety of young adults and to spread awareness for the gift of organ donation.
Funeral arrangements for Brooks is set for February 3 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Covington. Her family is asking that in lieu of gifts and flowers, that people donate to the foundation.
The Madison Brooks foundation has also launched a social media initiative — #MadiMadeMeSmile.
“Share the hashtag and your location on a day where you are reminded of Madi’s love,” the foundation said. “Pay it forward by performing a random act of kindness where you also leave or distribute one of Madi’s cards so that we light up the world with her spirit and smile.”

He waived his right to an attorney per the affidavit. Pure speculation on my part but my guess is he was told he was just there to help the investigators figure out what happened since they were the last to see her alive. The investigators aren't going to be upfront b/c you'd lawyer up if they were. Their objective, in many cases, is to trick you into revealing things you feel are insignificant but are actually relevant.
Police can use misleading reasons, if not just outright lie, in the search for the truth. Just ask Richard Jewell (if he weren't dead), who the FBI was intent on exposing as the Atlanta Olympic bomber.

This is another problem that I've been working through. Once again, I'm viewing this through the lens of my own kid who is loving, sweet, but not always a bastion of truth. Would she have sat there bored with no friends for an hour until closing time? Until I see video proof of that I don't believe it.

Wonder if she was passed out somewhere in the bar for that last hour, pretty bold statement by Reggie’s unless she was on camera the whole hour

I just laid $100 on it.
Pony up, baws.

Good point. We do know she was sitting on a bench by the door 15 minutes before closing, and she fell over when she tried to stand up.

I am not sure what you mean as it has nothing to do with a kid speaking truth or not..
It is what Reggie’s claims the video shows

Now that is an interesting point.

If the video showed her passed out, that would absolutely be noted in the affidavit. It would bolster the prosecution’s case as much as the stumbling inside.

Done. Hopefully they can use the money they receive to do everything they can to improve the safety of the LSU campus. She has younger siblings and I can't imagine the conversations that will take place when they head to college. I can only hope that they send them to a newer cleaner Baton Rouge made possible by their foundation. In reality, I think LSU needs to move the campus to Ferriday to save itself.
