St Charles Parish Impersonating a police officer
The similar thing happened in St Charles Parish.
I can't believe this guy though he could get away with it.
A Boutte man accused of impersonating a police officer as he went door to door asking for money was arrested last week and charged with false impersonation of a peace officer.
St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. James Grimaldi said police received a call that alleged Thomas Gereighty was walking door to door on Magnolia Manor Boulevard in Boutte begging citizens for money.
Gereighty, 27, of 129 Spruce St., was reportedly wearing a baseball cap with a fabric “NOPD” badge on the front and NOPD written on the back. He also had a T-shirt with a stitched NOPD badge on it.
Grimaldi added Gereighty told St. Charles Parish deputies that he did not work for the New Orleans Police Department.
“According to the report, he identified himself as a New Orleans City Police Officer (to the home residents) and just asked for money,” said Grimaldi.

Couple of friends of mine and myself pulled a car over by our rental condo in Florida years ago. We were loaded and messing around. Well it just so happens it was 3 off-duty cops in that car. They were on their way to a party and luckily in a good mood. Nothing came of it but damn, how stupid.
We had a flashing plug in light (part of a safety kit) and had the car alarm sounding...

The more I dig into this it’s starting to look like he is a cop that they’re trying to get undercover into the jail system. Don’t believe everything you read. The beard is a dead giveaway.
