Will storm surge put Cameron under water again

I would think so. I mentioned it yesterday but one of the companies in Cameron, Keiwit maybe, just filled all the empty RV spots with new campers. I doubt they were able to get them out.

Kiewit built that storm surge “safe haven” where they basically built a 25’ tall square equipped with pumps to keep everything in that square dry. Only so much room in it though.

Switch to the Fort Polk radar now that the center is close enough. You can get the whole width of the storm in one view.

I'll be watching this closely. Last night, the projections showed the Sunday crest at 15ft. We're already showing a 15ft increased projection in less than 12 hours... let's hope for no more unpredicted rainfall.

Where is that square because I know they tossed out at least $1m worth of brand new Snap On tools after Laura.

My Facebook friend who posted the “my first hurricane” picture with her kids for Laura has posted the “my second hurricane” pic for Delta. It’s officially go time.

About a half mile from the Baker Hughes yard

But I heard they didn’t put much in there for some odd reason. Guys I saw there last week said they’d be packing it full next time. Somebody’s head must have rolled over that

Tuna, for comparison, do you remember the crest for the 2016 flood?

Plenty time to weaken more but 95 or 100 Cat 2 is nothing to ignore.

Especially those who live in areas that will be effected by the storm surge. The winds maybe dying down but the surge will still be significant.
