My parents are staying since it’s a daylight storm. They will head North if it gets to oh shite status. They are North of 82 in Vermilion parish. My dad launched his boat at the Curve Lounge for Rita.

assuming the 4th drop in the eye by the USAF plane is its final one

so...

1st drop of that mission... 24.6N 93.3W @ 20:23z

final drop of that mission... 25.5N 93.6W @ 01:32z

so over the last 5+ hours... the center of Delta has moved +0.9N +0.3W

pressure also dropped 4 mb during the entirety of the mission... from 959 mb to 955 mb

Here is the radar data from the OU mobile Doppler radar truck I talked about earlier today.

LINK

Note - it loads sort of slow.

Was early evening/late afternoon landfall yesterday or so, but the last 18-24 hours has trended to a dusk-nighttime landfall.

Regardless, your quantity of life isn't in danger, but your quality of life may have a hitch in its giddy-up for a couple days.

That's a pretty good spread for 24 hours at landfall
