I'm in Houston and me saying that is actually more nervous chatter than anything. I hope it does do the turn its expected .
That said, it just hasn't shown it yet, and yes I know its not set yet but still nervous

I-20 East bound at the Mississippi River bridge is at a dead standstill. I’ve been sitting here for about 30 minutes in park 5 miles from the bridge. Doubt it’s storm related but if anyone is trying to evacuate to Jackson, etc...take another route or go somewhere else.
