This is the graphic and the tweet from the guy who coded it:

@burgwx

quote:

Hovmoller for azimuthally-averaged flight level wind - Delta can be split into 3 regimes:

- RI on 10/6 with a tiny eye & RMW contracting to nearly 12 km
- Quick pre-landfall weakening
- Re-intensification over water with a much larger eye. RMW starting to contract again. LINK

Whats up with everyone leaving LC for Houston area. Everyone knows this not turning and coming right over Houston. First time I'm ever hearing of people evacuating TO the hurricane.

One of my friends left his house in South LC at 1pm. Took him 2 hours to get on I-10 and he's between Orange and Beaumont now

Hour and a half at noon to get from south LC to i10. 7 hours total to Katy per the wife

Why not head East to the north shore? Seems like you would beat traffic leaving and going back.

So let me make sure I am following the track here:
4pm- 24.8N by 93.4W
7pm- 25.3N by 93.5W
The projection for 1am from NHC is 26.3N and 93.9W

Based on the 3 hour trend this thing will be on the east side of the cone. If it stayed the same bearing the next 6 hours we would be looking at 26.6N but only 93.7W. Assuming it holds the same trajectory which it may not. The difference in 0.2 degrees west at this spot on the map is equivalent to 20 kilometers or roughly 12 miles. I project a slightly East landfall and shift in the trajectory.

But who the frick knows... could just be a wobble.

Not sure why you’re getting all the downvotes. It may not make it to Houston but I can see landfall being near Port Arthur. The eye is between LC and Orange right now. I don’t see a hard northeast turn happening.

Nobody cares what your opinion is. You just made the boldest claim over paid experts who spend hours upon hours examining data to make forecasts on top of all the computer models. You just defied them all in 1 comment. Stupid.
