The shifts west did not help anybody. Lake Chuck will be slammed with the western eye wall and Laffy will be hammered with the northeastern Eye Wall. Friday is gonna SUUUUUUUCK.

Bruh this isnt laura. Laura was a strengthening borderline 5

This will be a weakening 3 or possibly 2

In Starks you probably saw gusts up to 70-75 mph for Humberto. Even Lake Charles is unlikely to see gusts that high for this system (on the current track), for some perspective.

Seriously? That doesn't seem right.

I felt like starting to track Delta the old fashion way.

, I can only imagine Peej's comments to the family as he checked his K&B chart...

"Y'all REALLY still worried about this Delta thing? It won't make it north of Brownsville!"

I’m staying at the 4 seasons in Krotz Springs Friday, do you think I should reconsider?

So quick question...given the speed and size, will 7AM Friday be too late to hit I-49 North leaving from Youngsville? Not going too far, just to Carenco, but wondering about what kind of weather to be expecting at that point realizing the eye will still be pretty far off shore. I've never left for a storm...anyone expect I-49 to be a parking lot at that point?

I'd rather a 2200 alert instead of 0400, fricking idiots.

Are you asking about Humberto or Delta?

The Euro is, by far, the most bullish on inland gusts so far. It put LC topping out at like 75mph.

Right now it's well off the coast at 7am, some rain might be coming in..but you should be ok..be prepared to leave earlier depending on timing they say tomorrow. Right now that'd be ok

How does that compare to the JW Marriott in Basile?

Both of the HWRF and HMON have been showing crazy wide wind fields. NHC clearly wants to with the GFS though.

It's a standard system. Hurricane warnings don't go out until 36 hours from the expected on-set of tropical storm force winds.

I don't think this is an evacuation storm unless you are really close to the gulf, especially if you are only going to the other side of laffy
