but Laura was way way higher than what he claims.

From what I can find LC experienced a confirmed gust at 133 mph and sustained winds of 86 mph

So his info looks fairly accurate for LC

99% of people in south la think they have rode out true hurricane sustained winds, of that 99% maybe 0.5% are correct

Reminds me of the reaction to the China virus.

What model does Accuweather use? They're projecting a Pecan Island landfall then right through Lafayette and on to Natchez.

Rode one out in Ft. Walton in the 90s, can’t remember which one. Didn’t even know one was coming until they announced at Cash’s that night that we were at a hurricane party.

Kind of hard to confirm when the weather station fails

Got close with Laura but I think the highest was 70mph.
Probably Gustav but that wasn't even bad for us here.
This one will be the worst in a long time for sure.

In case it wasn’t posted, this is the latest WPC rainfall projection:

I’m surprised there aren’t heavier totals on the east side of the path. Seems like WPC has the heavier totals right on the path and even to the west of the forecast path, which is weird.
