may start looking at Tallahassee again or even Hoover/Birmingham.

Yeah, good idea..more west...you go East...easier to get back in with the track this far west now, wait until tomorrow, see if it stays where it is or what..or at least until after 10p track update

In other words, the angle of approach is the problem for Lafayette/BR/Nola, not the immediate landfall point.

This.

With this track a Morgan City landfall Lafayette in clear, BR marginal, NOLA eh
Houma landfall BR in clear but NOLA f’d

’ll ban bet you it doesn’t shift back East and it keeps shifting West.

So a ban bet that it makes landfall west of Marsh Island and I get everything from the island to the east? How long?

Yeah, I’m going to look to see what I can find. If the track stays where it’s showing now, I may not even leave. If it stays between Lafayette and BR, then I may go east just for the ease of getting back to my house after the fact. Biggest issue for me is that I’m basically responsible for my in-laws because they don’t want to stay in Houma (don’t blame them).

I took his statement to mean the shifts will only be west from this point.

Yep. No sense in even doing anything other than plan to have it at Mizzou. Its not like it was going to be a huge crowd anyway.

don't see a refresh button like on my browser.

The kmz will load into your places in google earth. Right click on the active tropical cyclone folder and there’s an option to refresh

The issue for New Orleans, if anything, will be the recurve. A little slower storm around the turn in a couple days could still make landfall near Vermilion Bay but be heading NE which would still bring plenty of impacts to the city.

That path would seem to drag a lot of rain over NOLA. Pumps, you know.

Well you need google earth installed then you download the kmz file and click to open it .

You can import kml and kmz files in the Earth web app now so you don't need to download pro.

Yes that’ll work. I have everything from Iberia to the west and you have everything from Iberia to the East. If it directly hits Iberia then me and you need to link up and hit the casino.
