The hiring shortages and DEI focus on actual hires made and training are still from Biden and his budget.

Critical FAA positions were not laid off under DOGE, but again in December 2024 the FAA had a staffing shortage of 3,000.

Biden left it and offers down the toilet by focusing on DEI.

They would be required to carry 45 minutes reserve fuel or enough reserve fuel to make an alternate airport plus the 45 minute reserve if an alternate was required.

An alternate would be required if the destination airport weather is marginal an hour before or after scheduled arrival.

They were so focused on DEI they could not fill 3,000 positions to fill shortages even with a huge budget increase. Instead of being best available they were looking for identities and certain races to hire and promote first and foremost.


Also, there was at least 154 airplane accidents inside the US during Biden’s presidency.

The FAA didn’t go full into DEI until 2023 fiscal year and budget. It went over a year without an official director as Dems could not make time for confirmation process for one.

Guess who was doing the hiring the 4 years prior to Biden??? Also, Trump’s FAA director actual stayed on for around a year or so under Biden unlike Biden’s who announced he would resign in December even with a 3,000 employee shortage.

And there were 154 plane accidents inside the US under Biden along with FAA system crash and a lot near misses including ones at Reagan involving helicopters, but you ignored that number of accidents part of my comment. Why is that?
