Where is the fuel tank on this thing? I figured they're under the wings like most planes. Wings sheared off, I think this could have been way way worse

higher speed "no flap" landing.
Yikes.
Winds howling and snow and ice covering everything.

how does this thing flip over?

issues with the flaps and had to make a higher speed "no flap" landing.
Plane could have bounced if that’s the case.
When I worked in Denver I saw a little plane land so hard I’m shocked nothing happened to it. I told my coworker that if anyone had hemorrhoids on that plane that they’d be in their throat now.

plane coming in faster than normal due to flaps issue.
wing hits first either due to crosswind or a hard bounce
wing comes off, plane starts to spin and eventually rolls...

Wind was gusting 25-25 knots at the time.

taking this as a sign to stay my arse on the ground this year

Wouldn’t be surprised to get video of the crash soon. Plane spotters love to go out in especially windy and gusty conditions.

The fire truck in the video sprays foam way off to his left. Can’t think of any reason other than spraying the people away from the thing. lol
That guy should get a plaque.

It's on the runway on a clear day, airport will have multiple angles of it.

This is why I never fly in flip flops.

My fear of plane accidents is rooted in fear of all of the idiots onboard in a crisis, not the actual crisis itself.

That's part of the reason diesel/jet fuel is a preferred fuel for transportation. Its far less dangerous than gasoline.

They were landing in Toronto in the winter so I gotta assume even the most hippie dudes had on shoes

I’m landing in 30, but on United.
Don’t know if that helps or hurts my odds.
However, it is a Boeing

I was once on a plane where the oxygen masks dropped during light turbulence. This was years and years ago and was a total malfunction.
Regardless, the ensuing panic from those masks has left me feeling the same. Pilot is on the loudspeaker saying the plane is fine and it was a just a malfunction, but people were shrieking and saying prayers so loud you could barely hear it.
Sunny day and otherwise great flight until that happened. We were already on our descent thankfully and still got to where we needed to be. Lots of Karens yelling at flight attendants too, afterwards.
