is it a coincidence that the majority of the country deals with extreme cold when Trump gets inaugurated?

Yes. It is happening. Snow is guaranteed at this point.
Yes the model leaks a bit south as we get closer but Lafayette Baton Rouge and New Orleans are going to get a once in a lifetime snow event.
No way this storm moves so south that it misses the major I-10 metro areas. The margin of time is too thin at this point. We are pretty much locked in.

some people in this thread any time a single model shifts a smidge south:
I don't understand shifting south.
How far west is this going is what I need to know

Is that dark blue area supposed to dissipate as the system moves eastward? Trying to figure out if the MS Coast is going to hit 4-6", too, at some point since it's the same latitude as the darkest LA band.

I'm so ready for a foot of snow. Way better than preparing for a hurricane! Going to have a blast with the kids on Tuesday, memories they will likely never forget. I still remember the 1993 snow storm when I was 5 like it was yesterday

Hey, there are rumors going around here at work that they are closing the bridges at 4pm. KPLC and 511.org have nothing on this. You hearing any rumors like this?

Hope that swath of deep snow can slide just a bit further north I want it to snow so much I don’t want to see snow again for another decade.

I heard that rumor floating around as well, also found zero credibility to it.
I immediately left work, just in case. I cross zero bridges to get home, but this decision was made out of an abundance of caution
