Just FYI, if you guys are posting weather forecasts for your area could you list location? Could be helpful.

A few models come out very early. NAM, HRRR, ICON etc

PivotalWeather is the best spot to see it fast.

Yes, it's absolutely bizarre in here people are rooting for this. I guess you don't deal with subsidizing everyone's insurance and costs going through the roof.

You planning on making a claim out of this?

As far as sledding material.. check your local grocer for waxed boxes. Broccoli cauliflower and a few other products come shipped in waxed boxes.

Pool inflatables work great as well!

Please make sure yall measure snow properly before reporting values

I would. If you told us how to fricking do it.

A picture of a square cut plywood isn't helping.

Yeah my dad died that morning at like 3am and it was surreal to go outside and wait for the funeral home to get him while snow fell. My car was drenched and I drove home. By far the most surreal morning of my life.

Just got back from getting gas for my generator and swapping out a propane tank. I have 2 1500 watt ceramic heaters and a 9K BTU Mr Buddy with propane tank adapter. In Zachary so hopefully won’t need it but 13 degrees and 30 hours below freezing would suck with no heat.

If I had to drive to Lafayette Wed night, what are the odds the roads are still snowed over by that point?

It will barely be above freezing Wednesday during the day and then in the 20’s that night. So whatever melts Wednesday will probably ice that night.
