Sometimes you have to keep realistic expectations.

You don’t tell a chick you have a foot long in your pants when you have barely a kids meal size sandwich in your pants.

00z Euro seems to be keeping the low further south and the hardest some band now along the coast. I imagine it’ll jog back and forth every model.

Ok. Let’s get a foot of wet snow and see how many trees and power lines come down then.

Having lived nearly 40 years of my life in the ice belt of the Carolinas snow of any variety is not much of a concern with limbs and limb magnets (aka power lines) it is freezing rain that is the real concern. When a foot or more of snow falls there are relatively few outages, once you get even 1/2" of ice accumulated on all the trees the outage map looks like the web designer forgot to include green as an option. Pine trees start falling faster than Usain Bolt on meth.

I'm farther north but will have over 96 hours below freezing and I bought everything to make a huge batch of chili tomorrow. Everyone I know is going to be eating it since I estimate I have enough ingredients to make just over 30 quarts. I had to dig the 40q stock pot out and clean it up in anticipation.

Damn that sounds good.

Quick check of the temps has -15 on the board here. Christ, we've been above freezing for like 5 hours since 1/5.

Kinda want to make a gumbo, me.

Anyone have any idea why 2 of my mr buddy heaters I bought today from lowe's has trouble igniting?

Hold the ignite button and simply use a lighter. It will fire right up and doesn’t need to prime.

Chili and plan on reading and watching movies. FYI, make sure you charge your phone battery banks if you don’t plan on using a generator when the power goes out.
