WDSU confirms:
Yes we are hitting above freezing temps during the day allowing snow to melt. But come close to or below freezing for the next several nights. So icy roads to persist until Saturday when it hits like 66 on Sunday.
For New Orleans metro area.
Had to drive to work today and definitely some ice patches.

Yeah people on FB freaking out and overhyping as usual. Looks like typical winter weather for the N.O. area.

It was magical for a day or so, and I'm thankful to have seen it, but I'm perfectly fine with this never happening again in my lifetime.

Never in my life did I think I would see 11.5 inches of snow at my house.. and then have to melt sone of said snow to flush my toilets.
It’s been a week to remember

Not sure if it’s a coincidence or not but myself and two of my kids are sick as a dog right now. I have a fever I can’t shake, no appetite, hot flashes/chills, headaches, etc
Anyone else get this way after being outside for two days or is it just a coincidence?

How in the hell did you coonasses manage to get more snow, in one day, than we've seen the entire season here in Idaho?

Does the NWS collect data from a snow storm to determine if it was a blizzard after the event? Similar to post tornadoes or hurricanes to determine the category?
