We decided to evacuate and leave town. Drove north and got a motel somewhere outside of Pine Bluff ARK. Probably gonna get snowed in

Something tells me we shouldn’t have used our hurricane evacuation plans

We were up there a few years back and loved it. We stayed right by that little amphitheater that had live music

I aint too far from there. Love it here (but boy i could use some slightly warmer weather).

Oldest daughter's preschool is at a resort. She gets taken to snowboard lessons, gets to go to a trampoline and foampit place designed for snowboarders/skiers to get good at tricks.

Seems like a really cool experience.

Cold, wind has died down a bit, clouds are rolling in. One dog holding strong, other has retreated to her Kennel. Skeet coming down in Destrehan has been reported…

Reporting live from the front porch, Waffle news………….

How bad is it for a well/pump to drip the faucets pencil thin for ~36 hours straight?
well pumps are designed to run. Let a couple faucets run thin stream and the pump won’t have to run continuously

Waffle news is killing it. If you could partner with PEEJ and get a solid prediction you might be able to convince me to buy a subscription.

With it being so cold, it's no concern unless the pump is incorrect for where it is (shallow well pump on a deep well). The motor can handle a massive duty cycle with such cold cooling air. The pump/seals/etc don't mind running continuously as long as it doesn't cavitate. No concern at all.
