Shoot, I thought you’d recoil cause you think I was gunning for you.

It was a bang-bang moment, even someone of your caliber I can see how it could have triggered you.

my only aim was at a little humor, seems to be a hollow point now, feels like I'm under the crosshairs because some on here just take every statement point blank instead of thinking about it first

Fire away, the volley of your report is loud and clear and I’m finished rifling through my brain trying to write a primer here to fuse life and death into one.

I personally liked his music. Would have liked to here more of what he would have created.

Most of his stuff at that point had so much of Yoko's influence throughout that it sucked balls. I doubt she would have backed off had he lived. She ruined him.

I remember getting the news when I walked into my parents house. My dad said Lennon was just shot. My first statement was "That's not even funny. You're kidding, right?"

I think some people organized a candle light vigil out at the levee downtown either later that night or the next night. Didn't go, though.

Never liked the guy, his music, or the Beatles honestly. I appreciate how much they shaped music and everything but I’m not a fan.

Anything John Lennon wrote after he let Yoko start helping was a sack a shite. Some truly awful stuff from 68 on. John was becoming a pariah in the late 70s. Him getting shot was probably the best thing that could happen for his career and remembrance.

It's also the anniversary of the US's declaration of war on Japan.

I didn’t find out until Tuesday morning when I got to class and some kids were wearing black armbands. I thought it was a gag- I was in disbelief. It just didn’t make any sense to me. I mean who shoots John Lennon ? That’s not something that could really happen.
