I was told lighting is handled by the parish or electric company.

No reflectors, no lane markers or reflective strips, god awful lighting and only one posted speed limit sign within the fist ... What 12 ~ 15 miles or so?
We can't do better than that?
The I-10 west exit that curves back to I-12 doesn't have ANY street lighting or reflective road markers?
This morning was the first morning I had been going west through the 10-12 merge early enough that the street lights should have been on. Not a single fricking one on the left side of the west bound lane was on from the split to right around Gordon's building.
I get it if there is construction going on, but that project has long since been done.

Shoutout I49 near Grand Couteau where they patched the concrete potholes with giant globs of asphalt that launch your vehicle into orbit unless you slow down to like 55.

Start small, fix the roller coaster on I59 leaving MS going into Slidell.

Roadway lighting is parish not state, regardless of road.

The 770 million number is embarrassing actually and is exactly why I-12 and many other roads are terrible. . 770 million isn't even one plant expansion project and that is the budget to build and maintain every road and bridge in the entire state? lol.
The annual road budget for the Houston area is 4-5 billion.

Baton Rouge doesn’t believe in street lighting, highway markers, or striping. Everyone knows that.
