Blow your pool up... thats the only solution

Did that once, but it was a copperhead on the other side.

Subtle hint that you have a pool.

What, you’ve never seen “Raiders of the Lost Ark”?

Yeah they're just garter snakes but you try reaching your hand into your strainer in the dark and touching a mass of writhing snakes.
Not showing this to anyone in my household. They'll never help with the pool ever again. They'll just need to take their chances.

Learned this lesson a long time ago. Found snakes, mice, and many frogs in mine. Never again.
Subtle ‘I have an in ground pool, too’ brag acknowledged.

Yep. Operation Relocate was a success. Took the pool net and a stick and the ones that tried to swim away I'd catch as they were coming out of the strainer.
A whole family affair..6 total. Took them down to the creek across the street and let them go there.

Glad you didn't kill them. Harmless little things.

I barely noticed one sitting in my skimmer basket in the dead of winter last year. It looked dead and I nearly pulled it out by my hand but thought better of it.
Went and got a coat hanger. Pulled the basket out. The thing didn’t move till I dumped it onto the grass then it got very angry. I beat the shite out of it with a shovel till it died twice.

I’ll have to ask my pool boy if he’s ever experienced something like this.
