the human race needs a cull, and the only realistic way that happens is by super-flu.

The book says it can't survive outside the body for more than a minute. At least we've got that going for us.

The problem with your theory is that a super flu attacks good Christian people and people who shoot each other over chicken wings at checkers all the same.

In the original version of the book, the virus is named after a Russian city.

LINK

Here is a fact check on this.

quote:

Here are a few things this “prediction” gets wrong:

In Koontz’s novel, “Wuhan-400” is a human-made weapon. The coronavirus, on the other hand, was not.
In the novel, “Wuhan-400” has a 100% fatality rate. While researchers are still learning about the coronavirus, the current fatality rate sits at about 2%.
The fictional “Wuhan-400” has an extremely quick incubation period of about four hours, compared to COVID-19 which has an incubation period between two and 14 days.

There is more in the link I provided.

Chris,

No one is calling Dean Koontz on how to handle the virus. It's an internet meme.

Geez...

How the hell does snopes know it wasn’t man-made?

Snopes ruins everything.

From Snopes:

If you think of Snopes as Hilary Clinton's explanation of everything it begins to make more sense.
