Buy a new mattress, sheets, pillows, the whole deal.. Clean the frick out of your room before putting new bed in. That should work.

Bugbomb for the bed bugs. May have to do it more than once. Rats— figure out where they are getting in. Usually holes in walls around pipes are a good start like where your faucets are and any gas line behind oven or elsewhere. Get wire mesh and use it to cover the holes. You can use a staple gun and liquid nails to attach the mesh to the wall.

We've dealt with bedbugs and have a friend who is an exterminator that helped us. My brother bought a bed from a friend and bed bugs were in the frame. They can easily move from one place or another on your clothes or as simply as moving a bag from one room to another.

Get a steamer, can get them cheap, and steam all your furniture. Especially recliners, couches, and box springs. Steam walls in rooms where they are. They will literally come out the wall from moldings and baseboards.
Wash all clothes in areas where bugs are present and bag them after they are dry. Steam in all screw holes and anywhere there is a crease on the bed frame. Open all outlets where bugs are present and put bug powder poison in there. (Can get at any hardware store).

Finally, order Phantom Aerosol Insecticide II. Its what was used at my brothers and it worked. Depending on size of place, will probably need a few cans.

Spray all baseboards and moldings in every room and under beds and furniture. Spray all in drawers and any screw holes or anywhere where bed is connected. Don't spray directly on furniture, but keep steaming. They love real wood, so get anything that is real wood.

Also, buy a mattress cover. Some say bug cover. One that goes all around mattress and zips up. Can get them at walmart or anywhere really. If there are any on mattress that you missed, they will be trapped in the wrap and will die. Once wrapped, don't unwrap for at least 3-6 months.

You should read this. It's a Cracked article from a few years ago. You really should just move and not bring hardly anything with you to the new place - especially not furniture. Sorry guy.

Also all your clothes need to be bagged tightly. Take them to a laundry facility and put them in on a high heat cycle for the longest time possible. Then dry them again the longest time possible.

Then put them in new bags and tie them tight and place them somewhere they can't get(someone else's house). Then get exterminators. Or move and leave it all behind. You seriously have no good options here. Don't underestimate how bad it is. Don't listen to bullshite articles or "home traps". I tried them all. It doesn't help. Bed bug bombs are nonsense and don't remotely work.

Basically...you are fricked. Get out.
