There was a New York Giants pitcher named Dummy Taylor. He was deaf and mute, so one time he got right in an umpire's face and slowly mouthed a torrent of obscenities so the ump could read his lips.
He usually preferred to insult the umpires in sign language. One ump got back at him by learning sign language in the offseason. The first time Taylor insulted him, he responded in sign language with "Go to the clubhouse. Pay $25."
