I refuse to believe that anyone college age and older would have no idea who that is. It's only one of the more famous/infamous cases in US History. It'd be like someone saying they don't know who charles manson is.

It’s only really popular with people who enjoy history/discovery channel type shite. The regular person probably has just heard the name but not sure why.

I dunno that Cooper is quite as well known and notorious as Manson, but yeah, most educated adults should know of him.
