I slept until almost 10 today even though the time changed.

Supposedly it means little kids won’t have to stand out in the dark waiting for the school bus. Why that’s so damn important that we have to literally alter time, I cannot say.
Personally I think it sucks when it’s dark by 5:00 PM.

I’ve always heard DST was created for the farmers.

I’ve heard that too. But her school bus thing is the justification for keeping the abomination going.

I figured with this global warming, somehow we should be getting an hour or more of daylight everyday.

That remarkable 21st century neo-conservative conceit that everything bad is the result of a liberal policy. But DST was enacted by President Harding. Hardly a lib.

Because forced busing makes kids have to be at the bus stop at 6 am, with shite public schools to boot.

That’s called longer days in the summer and shorter days in the winter. It’s called earth shifting on its axis every year. Basic science learned at an early age.
(Not directing anything towards you, here.)
Personally, I cannot stand dst. I wish we’d stay on the standard time (current time we’re on as of today).

President Nixon because of the energy crisis.
Lasted maybe 16 months.
Didn't save anything.

DST is a battle of morning people vs. night people. Screw you morning people! I want daylight when I get home from work.

I get why people would prefer that it not be dark in the morning when it's time to go to work but the payoff of DST is more daylight after work which is worth it, IMO.
Make DST year-round.
Make DST year-round.

Have to get up earlier to hunt and harder to fit it in after work during the week.

I'm definitely a night person and prefer standard time. It's easier for me to get up in the morning when it's already daylight.

Don’t worry. In only a few months you’ll be back to playing with balls after work

Get rid of it completely.

Same here.
Plus in Louisiana, we have it pretty good no matter DST or Standard. Sunset is still after 5 in the winter.
