quote:True, but I hate when I kill a deer right at sunset early in the year. By the time I get it, clean it, and quarter it, it is damn near 9pm before I am sitting down at the camp to eat dinner
I like daylight savings time because it gives me longer hunting hours after work so just roll with DST all year

As a kid in Michigan, I loved that it stayed light outside til nearly 10pm in the summer. The late sunsets are awesome.
Had this in Georgia since we were so close to the time zone change. It’d be near 10pm and we were still outside playing in the yard with the sunlight on the horizon.
Auburn was the opposite since it’s right across the line.

I don't get why this is such a big deal to some people. Time is just a number. It's not real.

Easier to head home in the dark after a long, tiring day of work. Better to head out in the daylight to get energized for the work day.

No shite Einstein....
Working 12 hour shifts, I usually go home, relaxed, go to bed... After work, I can give a shite to have time to cut the grass, I do that on my days off...

It’s nice, but like Walt I enjoy both. I prefer it to get dark earlier around Christmas.
Umm it's gonna get dark anyway. You do know the days are shorter in the winter right?

When you work 12 hour shifts, the evening daylight only last about an hour, so you don't have time do do much of anything anyway...
sucks to be you. I'm personally loving the late sunsets. I get home and have all kinds of time to do shite. I wasn't getting much done mornings anyway. Its dark from 4a-6a on std time so mornings aren't much of a help for me. I still gotta do my shite in the dark.

Does it really bother people that it's a little darker when they wake up in the morning?
Posted on 3/12/18 at 10:08 am to GeorgeTheGreek
I’m probably the only one who prefers Standard to DST. I’m a morning person so I like when the sun is up earlier in the morning

I actually prefer early morning daylight - wish they would wait another month or so to make the change

The extra hour of light after work is a game changer for anyone that likes to be outside. Running, biking, yard work, golf, etc. are so hard to do during the fall/winter for anyone on a 8-5 schedule.
I get in a better mood this time of year, lose weight, and save money.

I'm the opposite, have tons of energy when i'm up in the morning with daylight, take the dog to the park, get some stuff done before going to work, etc. After work i'm usually tired but the extra daylight for a quick stop by the driving range is nice - may try and do that this afternoon.

I hate it! It's dark outside when I wake up and it just gives the neighbors more time to make noise with their lawnmowers and shite when I get home. Plus tv watching is better in the dark and now I have to wait longer for the sun to go down. Sucks.

The Monday after spring forward sucks but I’d be happy sticking with the current time. The daylight after work is nice.

I like the change. Sure, today sucks. But I like it dark early when it gets cold. Makes I somewhat feel like we have a real winter.
