If you've ever seen a Chappelle special, you already know how far left he is. You're acting like him supporting black activism is some new POV he has. Dude has talked about politics and race in almost every special he's made.

Guessing some here just know him from his Comedy Central show where he lampooned black culture.

That was terrible. People who showed up for that should be pissed off.

I’m not sure how to feel about it yet. It hasn’t completely sunk in, but it has made me reflect on what’s going on in the world today differently than how I had been before watching it. Not saying I agree or disagree with his words. Just that I appreciate what he said.

Why does it say "Netflix is A Joke" under the title?

He supported Yang in the primary - so he is actually pretty reasonable as Yang's policies are very pro-capitalist and forward thinking.

Just being honest. Im not gonna support someone who supports a mob tearing apart cities and people's livelihood.
Supporting people’s right to protest isn’t supporting rioting and looting. They are different things.

Oh, I thought "Netflix is a Joke" was just a YouTube channel that covered Netflix comedy specials.

If you’re looking to laugh, this isn’t for you.
Jokes were few and far between.
More of a monologue of his thoughts. I was bored but watched until the end.

Didn't see it on Netflix. But I found it on YouTube. About to give it a watch now.

I just watched it.
I am trying to absorb all of this stuff related to the killing of Floyd and the reactions with an open mind. Even more open than I think I've historically had due to growing up in Baton Rouge in the 70's and 80's during desegregation.
I think I've come a long way in my thinking and understanding of some to this. I'm certainly trying.
But part I cannot agree with Dave on is his stance on Trayvon Martin. That was no "innocent kid just buying Skittles". That was a kid who had embraced the thug culture and was on the path of becoming a shitheal thug.
He was up to no good that night. He attacked Zimmerman. Now, Z is no saint by any means. But when attacked, the man had the right to defend himself.
Trayvon wasn't "murdered". He was killed. He'd still be alive today had he not attacked Z.
The lesson that violence can result in death is not emphasized nearly enough among the black community. Violence is romanticized, celebrated, and seen as the solution to all the ills of the black race.
I can tell Chappelle is angry. I get it. I like the guy. I think his message should be listened to. Even if you end up disagreeing with him.

The Minneapolis police that killed him and their union that protects bad cops

bullshite. Martin could just walk away. Martin assaulted Z.
Look at the evidence, not the narrative.
