Lake Beau Pre town homes. Off of River Rd. and away from those animals. Gated as well.

I feel like this only applies to the people living there. I think I'd have about a 20/25 chance if I hung out for a day.

We need to bulldoze that damn shithole and pave it over for park and ride to LSU games. We could pay a few cops to watch the vehicles.

A guy I know got his car stolen from his apartment near LSU (can't remember which one, year was 1990-1992-ish), then stole his car back when he pulled up to a Circle K and saw his car parked, and the driver left it running while he went inside to make a quick purchase.......in the Gardere area.
to car thief guy.

Man, I was just detouring down Gardere thanks to the bridge construction on Nicholson. I was thinking how Gardere seems to be better off compared to 10 years ago. Latino/Asian communities have been slowly pushing out the Black community. There's still that small section that seems dangerous by the shite factory (sewage plant) but the area between Burbank and the Gardere Meat Market isn't that bad. I still try and stop by the original La Salvadorena food truck every once in a while.

Forgive me but how are modern cars stolen these days?

With keys now having chips, its not like you can simply punch the ignition with a large screw driver anymore.

4 times in the last couple of months I've seen the Vietnamese guy that owns the little store next the the meat market in screaming matches with customers in his parking lot. One time somebody was having to hold a big black guy back from kicking his arse. That Vietnamese guy is the bravest guy I know.

How did we find it?

Tracking device. Daughter was notified where it was on her phone. She Called police and went to retrieve it. The car was in parking lot in front of an apartment complex. Police said that they would investigate, but don't see much happening . I will be bringing the car to VW to see how it was taken. I googled and apparently a VW electronic auto lock/start can be tripped without a key because of an override glitch.

I'm just waiting for one of the Vietnamese families to open up an authentic Pho/Vietnamese restaurant on that street.

I've been wanting to try the new Mexican place that opened in the same center as the Meat Market, I think it's called La Morena.

Why didn't they suggest perhaps keeping tabs on the vehicle before retrieving it to see who was driving it? Kind of seems like a real simple way to catch the perp, no?

Or at least check with the complex to see if they have cameras of the lot. caill or his daughter may have to do that themselves, though, as the popo don't sound terribly motivated.
