You chose poorly.

I bet you wish you knew how a beach looked since you’ve had children. It’s nice.

My dad felt the same, but allowed me to do it. It is a great sport. Teaches discipline. I competed until I ruptured my Achilles my Sr. year in HS, then joined the collegiate diving team my Freshman year in college. I loved gymnastics.
Does your wife have issues with bathing suits?

That’s tough. Y’all are both correct. Maybe just save the clothing for competitions...whenever she’s ready for that. Don’t have to train in that gear.

Saturday’s are for the boys brah. Tell your daughter she’s really a son and pick up the ball glove.

Will they let her wear shorts over them if y'all are uncomfortable with the outfit?
Posted on 10/10/20 at 11:12 am to Mud_Till_May
Why don’t you wear a similar outfit around the house for a couple of weeks and get everyone acclimated to the look?
It’ll be the norm.

Attire is available.
Is a good sport as you noted.
Seek out a USAG Member Club facility.

Is your daughter overweight?

Most wear shorts, etc. outside of the leotards except when in the gym, when there's only other girls around for the most part.
Does your wife wear a bathing suit? Moat girls wear clothing over it until they get to the pool or beach. Similar with gyms and leotards.

Hope your wife is hot Bc she’s definitely dumb

I wore yoga shorts over my leotard while practicing, which is very common.

Here’s what you’re in for and I’m telling you this now so you can decide you and your family’s level of commitment moving forward.
The cheer stuff can get super competitive. Better gyms, better coaches, tumbling classes, practice outfits, competition outfits, etc. can all start to rack up. And by rack up I don’t just mean money. The time you dedicate starts to rack up as well. Competitions start on some weekends at 5am and go all day. Some require you to travel. Practice sessions can be 3-4 hours each. Tumbling lessons can be an hour or two. You can see how 2-4 times a week depending on how serious your daughter is trying to get can start to add up.
The ONLY reason I bring it up is so you have an idea of what’s to come. Hopefully you don’t make the goofball move I did by not understanding what a commitment it is on YOUR end if your daughter really starts to like it. I’m good with it because of how much my daughter enjoys it. But I can see how taxing it is for some parents.

Let her participate but with a more modest outfit. The other kids probably won’t pick on her. Esp. if she turns out to be good at it, nobody will give a crap what she wears. There are Pentecostals at my kid’s school that have to wear skirts with everything and it’s just, like, whatever.

Training her to be nice and flexible for her future husband

I don't know why there can't be a compromise between the revealing clothing of sex obsessed America and Taliban Afghanistan. Look women gymnasts from 1930s Germany.

You have a pimp hand for a reason.

You need to show her what they used to wear back in the day. There wasn't too much underwear under those togas and robes.
