How old is your daughter?

It’s typical leotards for the most part. As long as you’re visibly there the whole practice then there’s nothing to worry about

Well wtf does she want her to wear? It’s gymnastics, how can they see if her body is doing what it should do if she is in T-shirt and shorts. I hope she never wants to swim on a swim team since they wear *gasp* swim suits.

Normally folks who worry about how a child looks in gymnastics wear won’t like gymnastics as a whole.

It’s not for everyone.

wore yoga shorts over my leotard while practicing, which is very common.

Quit church. Use the money saved to pay for gymnastics.

It is a pay to play racket. Prepare to spend a ton of money on everything. They will tell you your kid needs to be in the more talented pool, but it really is just a pool for parents who will pay more money. It has nothing to do with talent.

They will keep asking for more and more money and tell your kid how great they are, making you look like an a-hole once you realize you made a huge mistake.

It is a great sport but unfortunately this is how it is now.

Both my daughters are in gymnastics. A lot of the kids in the gym wear shorts over their leotard. It's not a big deal. It's usually all girls in the gym anyway.

My daughters did gymnastics for a while but I wish they had never started it. I do not deny that gymnasts are great athletes but it's part pageant too, that part I don't care for so much. My daughters were both doing very well in TaeKwonDo, enjoying themselves, and getting a lot out of it, I felt. Then the 2012 Olympics came, Gabby Douglas and the Fab Five and all that. Suddenly my girls were done with TaeKwonDo and refused to go back, had to get into gymnastics. I told them they were making a mistake, but of course, girls, that just made them all the more determined to do it. It lasted less than a year, then they were out, they would have been a lot better off sticking with martial arts.

My kid is a competitive gymnast. They can wear whatever to practice in but they all end up wanting to wear leotards. So you’re fricked unless you put your hoe on a leash. Bitch is running wild man
